Intro to Top Rope
Intro to Top Rope is a one day program designed for all levels of climbers who are looking to learn how to safely climb Factory's many top rope routes. Climbers interested in taking this program should be familiar with other forms of climbing such as bouldering and autobelays. This 2 hour program will teach climbers how to use harnesses, ropes, belay devices and communication to safely climb to the top of our wall. Once completed, climbers should have all the knowledge required to pass our top rope test and become certified to climb our top rope routes. Please note you are not allowed to take the test on the same day as you have taken the course.
Equipment is included but we recommend purchasing your own. This includes a harness, shoes, and belay device.
This program needs to reach a 4 participant minimum fill rate to run. If it does not fill, participants will be contacted to reschedule or for a refund.
- Be familiar with climbing. We recommend climbing our autobelays to get comfortable with heights.
- Participants must be 14+ years old.
- Cost is $50 (get 20% off if you're a member!)
Once completed, program participants need to wait 24 hours before challanging our top rope test.
